Martyred Intellectuals Day Caption 

14 December is a day of mourning in  the history of Bangladesh. Fifty-nine years ago today, the Pakistan Army and its allied local Razakars, knowing their defeat for sure, targeted some of the best individuals in our country with a plan to intellectually destroy the future of Bengal. On that day, they abducted the intellectuals from their homes and brutally killed them in Rayer Bazaar and other deserted areas of the country. Martyred Intellectuals' Day is celebrated on 14 December all over Bangladesh, in memory of these heroic intellectuals killed by the Pakistani forces and their nefarious allies during the war of liberation in 1971.

We, the members of Navya Bangladesh, extend our deepest respects and salutations to those martyred intellectuals who have sacrificed their lives for the country.

১৪ ডিসেম্বর শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে একটি শোকের দিন। আজ থেকে উনপঞ্চাশ বছর আগে পাকিস্তান সেনাবাহিনী এবং তাদের সহযোগী স্থানীয় জনগোষ্ঠী রাজাকাররা নিজেদের পরাজয় নিশ্চিত জেনে, বাংলার ভবিষ্যতকে বৌদ্ধিকভাবে ধ্বংস করার পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে আমাদের দেশের সেরা কিছু ব্যক্তিবর্গকে টার্গেট করে। এদিন সেসব বুদ্ধিজীবীদের বাড়ি থেকে অপহরণ করে এবং রায়ের বাজার ও সারাদেশের অন্যান্য বিরান এলাকায় নিয়ে  নির্মমভাবে হত্যা করে। ১৯৭১সালে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় পাকিস্তানি বাহিনী এবং তাদের ঘৃণ্য সহযোগীদের দ্বারা নিহত হওয়া বুদ্ধিজীবীদের স্মরণে ১৪ ই ডিসেম্বর শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস পালন করা হয়। 

আমরা, Navya Bangladesh এর সদস্যরা সেসব শহীদ  বুদ্ধিজীবীদের প্রতি, যারা দেশের জন্য নিজেদের জীবন উৎসর্গ করেছেন, তাদের প্রতি আন্তরিক শ্রদ্ধা ও সালাম জানাচ্ছি।
